... is a impression in the snow.

This is truly one of my favourite pictures. It's taken by photographer Robert S. Eik, and was "Picture of the Year" back in 1998. The impression is whats left of overdose-victim number 128 that year. A heroine addict ended his life, and the last of his bodyheat melted the snow.

Same year, 270 registered people died of OD. In 2007 the number was down to 244. But still, Norway sadly is on top of overdosestatistics all over the world.
